Thanksgiving Crafts
The other day it was 80° here. That’s right, November 6th, 2015 was a record-breaking 80° passing the 1948 temperature of 78°. I made me wonder if this is how those closer to the Equator or in the Southern Hemisphere feel, getting ready for the holiday season in short-sleeves and flip-flops. Regardless of warm weather, that will probably be a lovely memory tomorrow, we are still sneaking up on Thanksgiving at a rather fast pace. And that means it is time to get your Thanksgiving Craft on!
But where oh where to start? Oh, sister! I’ve got you covered! I’ve put together a list of Thanksgiving crafts that are super cute and very festive! I’ve got some for the kiddos to make, and some for a little personal DIY time (aka, regain your sanity time.) Some may be more complicated than others, but all of them will bring a little seasonal pumpkin spice to your home.

Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids

You can always make those Turkey Hands, and my kids love doing that, but sometimes you want something a little outside of the box.

How fun are these silly Turkey Shirts from Sugar Bee Crafts?
Thanksgiving CraftsEvery year my mom would help my sister and I make little crafts like this Recycled Thanksgiving Craft: Pilgrim Ships, from 4 Crazy Kings. I remember being so proud to bring my handmade Thanksgiving crafts to our huge family gathering to show off to my whole family.
Thanksgiving CraftsThese Leaf Feather Turkeys, from BabyCenter, are such a great way to embrace the cooler weather and get the kiddos outside.
Thanksgiving CraftsWho doesn’t love a pice of pumpkin pie? Make these Pumpkin Pie Kid Crafts, from A Night Owl, to bring the classic taste to your Thanksgiving crafting.
Thanksgiving CraftsMy kids love playing with playdough so I know they would be thrilled to make these Cinnamon Salt Dough Leaves, from The Imagination Tree.

Thanksgiving Crafts for Your Home

From gourd candle holders to DIY garland, getting creative with your Thanksgiving decor is a must this season!

Thanksgiving ChalkboardsChalkboards are still hot, y’all! Last year I put this list of Thanksgiving Chalkboards together and I can’t wait to get my chalk out and decorate my board.

Thanksgiving CraftsThese Acorn Coasters, from The Seasoned Homemaker, could be used on your Thanksgiving table, but they could also be strategically placed by the TV for use while watching the Big Game.

Thanksgiving CraftsThis beautiful DIY: Pumpkin Succulent Harvest Decoration, from Simply Happenstance, would be lovely on a dinner table, or on your mantel or entryway table.

Thanksgiving CraftsThese DIY Calling Leaves Garland, from House of Jade Interiors, is cheap and easy and so beautiful! Hang pretty much anywhere in your home to add a little color and festive flare. I can imagine them being hung at different heights above the dinner table to mimic the effect of falling leaves. How lovely would that be?

Thanksgiving CraftsFestive signs are something that can be pulled out every year to bring some seasonal decor. Make this DIY Thanksgiving Sign, from The Happy Tulip, and add it to your mantel or really anywhere for a little Gobble, Gobble.

Thanksgiving CraftsMix a spunky garland and some typography with this DIY Thanksgiving Garland, from Life if a Lullaby.

Thanksgiving CraftsLest we forget what Thanksgiving is really about here is a craft meant to remind us all. The Thankful Tree, from Simply Vintagegirl, is so pretty and such a great way to get everyone involved in the spirit of the season.

Thanksgiving Crafts for Your Table

A cornucopia is what classically adorns a Thanksgiving tablescape, but these days there is so much inspiration out that you don’t have to feel stuck with what’s always been done.

Autumn Harvest CenterpieceA centerpiece doesn’t have to be fussy or complicated to be beautiful. Check this Autumn Harvest Centerpiece that I put together a few years ago. It’s simple and easy and looks pretty and sophisticated.

Thanksgiving CraftsI love these ‘Gourd’eous Candle Holders, from Revel. They would be so beautiful spread among huge platters of turkey and stuffing.

Thanksgiving CraftsDon’t we all love burlap this time of year? The rustic, yet warm feel, with the amazing texture adds so much to Thanksgiving decor. These Painted Burlap Thanksgiving Place Settings, from A Night Owl, are just the right amount of burlap to add to your table.

Thanksgiving CraftsMore burlap! This is one of those DIY’s you will use over and over again every year! I love the colors in this Burlap Thanksgiving Table Runner, from The Seasoned Homemaker.

Thanksgiving CraftsI love the look of craft paper. It’s so neutral but can give a huge impact. This Kraft Paper Table Runner from Dawn Nicole Designs, with its hand-written place cards, blue and gold accents, and white dishware is so incredibly beautiful I almost can’t stand it.

Thanksgiving CraftsThese Thanksgiving Place Cards, from Typically Simple, are one of those crafts you would whip out the night before your big meal. Easy and beautiful!

Thanksgiving CraftsTypography is always classic and these Simple Thanksgiving Placemats, from Frugal MomEH!, are great! And simple enough to make one for every member of the table.
